Do you need to take a theory test for a trailer (B+E) test?No, not if you already hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

What if I have an automatic car licence?If you take your B+E (trailer) test in an automatic car, you will only be able to use an automatic car when towing. However, if you take your B+E test in a manual car, your automatic car entitlement will be amended to manual as well, allowing you to drive both.
